The Bible: Daily Bible Reading Plans

It is a very valuable thing to build a pattern of daily Bible readings into our personal discipleship. There are many different schedules of Bible reading. Some cover the Bible in 1 year, others over the course of several years and at least one schedule which plans to read the whole Bible in 1 month. They all have their different advantages and disadvantages. You will find a selection of Bible Reading schedules here:
1. The Church Life School Bible Schedule - 3 year cycle (http://mp3.biblebase.com/workmanworkshops/3year_cycle.pdf)
This was designed for the benefit of students at the Earley Christian Fellowship (http://www.earley-christian-fellowship.org.uk/)'s Church Life School; a residential 6 month course which operated in the 1990's and had students from many different countries. This schedule was part of a 'Daily Devotional Time (http://mp3.biblebase.com/workmanworkshops/daily_bread.pdf)' and provided a method of reading the New Testament through during the 6 months of the course. It was later extended to include the Old Testament in a pattern where the Old Testament was read through once in every three years while, at the same time the New Testament was read through three times in three years. There is a certain balance to this as the Old Testament is almost 3 timies longer than the New Testament, so each year the reader spends equal time in each Testament. The Old Testament readings are taken in 'approximate' chronological order.
